BALATON SUPERPOLE RACE: P 7 RACE 2: DNF
Si conclude il weekend di Motocorsa Racing Team a Balaton Park con una solida settima posizione nella Superpole Race e una Gara 2 che lasciava presagire un risultato importante, ma si è purtroppo conclusa con una caduta a due giri dal termine.
Durante la Superpole Race Vickers ha messo in mostra un ottimo passo gara, confermando il buon lavoro svolto da tutto il team. In Gara 2 era autore di una gara eccellente, stabilmente in sesta posizione e con un ritmo in linea con i migliori. Purtroppo un long lap penalty ricevuto ha rallentato la sua corsa, nonostante ciò ha cercato di recuperare terreno, fino a una caduta a due giri dal termine che ha messo fine anticipatamente alla corsa.
Ryan Vickers:
“Sono contento del weekend qui a Balaton anche se abbiamo avuto un po’ di sfortuna. Siamo stati nella top ten per tutto il weekend. Purtroppo in Gara 1 siamo stati coinvolti in un incidente, mentre in Superpole Race abbiamo ottenuto il miglior risultato della stagione in settima posizione ed è stato molto buono. In Gara 2 stavamo facendo la miglior gara dell’anno, eravamo in sesta posizione e il passo era ottimo, ma ho dovuto fare un Long Lap Penalty per aver tagliato la chicane. Sfortunatamente dopo la sanzione sono caduto, ma sono comunque soddisfatto dei progressi. Il team lavora benissimo e continuiamo a migliorare.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Il weekend finisce con l’amaro in bocca. È da venerdì che siamo competitivi, con un buon passo gara, e la moto è sempre stata tra le più veloci. Purtroppo un po’ di inesperienza del pilota ha fatto sì che commettesse alcuni errori sia in qualifica che in gara. Sono consapevole che, come team manager, ho scelto un pilota giovane da far crescere, quindi devo accettare questo percorso e sono felice di farlo insieme a Ryan. Tutta la squadra lo sta supportando anche in queste gare che possono trasformarsi da piccole vittorie a ritiri per scivolate. Ci proveremo ancora: la crescita del pilota continua, e io sono felicissimo della mia squadra e di tutto il gruppo di lavoro Motocorsa, sia in pista che a casa.”

Motocorsa Racing Team’s weekend at Balaton Park ended with a solid seventh place in the Superpole Race and a Race 2 that promised an important result but unfortunately ended with a crash two laps from the finish.
During the Superpole Race, Vickers showed excellent race pace, confirming the good work done by the whole team. In Race 2, he was having an excellent race, consistently in sixth position and with a pace in line with the best. Unfortunately, a long lap penalty slowed him down, but he tried to make up ground until a crash two laps from the end ended his race prematurely.
Ryan Vickers:
“I’m happy with the weekend here at Balaton, even though we had a bit of bad luck. We were in the top ten all weekend. Unfortunately, we were involved in an accident in Race 1, but in the Superpole Race we achieved our best result of the season in seventh place, which was very good. In Race 2, we were having our best race of the year, we were in sixth place and the pace was excellent, but I had to take a Long Lap Penalty for cutting the chicane. Unfortunately, after the penalty, I crashed, but I’m still satisfied with the progress. The team is working very well and we continue to improve.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“The weekend ends on a sour note. We have been competitive since Friday, with good race pace, and the bike has always been among the fastest. Unfortunately, the rider’s inexperience led him to make some mistakes in both qualifying and the race. I am aware that, as team manager, I chose a young rider to develop, so I have to accept this path and I am happy to do so together with Ryan. The whole team is supporting him even in these races, which can turn from small victories to retirements due to crashes. We will try again: the rider’s growth continues, and I am very happy with my team and the whole Motocorsa team, both on the track and at home.”
