Si sono conclusi all’Autodromo Internacional do Algarve di Portimao gli ultimi due dei quattro giorni complessivi di test pre-stagionali del Campionato WorldSBK per il team Motocorsa Racing, dopo la prima sessione svolta la scorsa settimana a Jerez de la Frontera. Il team è stato impegnato in pista con Alberto Surra, che ha esordito nella categoria del mondiale Superbike.
Le condizioni meteo hanno influenzato in modo significativo il programma di lavoro: la pioggia, presente in entrambe le giornate, ha molto limitato il tempo a disposizione sull’asciutto, offrendo però l’opportunità di raccogliere dati importanti anche in condizioni di bagnato.
Il prossimo appuntamento in pista sarà in Australia, dove il team proseguirà il percorso di preparazione in vista del primo round del campionato, in programma a Phillip Island dal 20 al 22 febbraio 2026.
ALBERTO SURRA – Pilota
“Sono molto contento di questo test, peccato per la pioggia ma siamo comunque riusciti a fare un po’ di giri buoni sulla moto nonostante tutto. Non vedo l’ora di arrivare in Australia, confidando in un meteo più clemente, così da poter essere più performanti e avere più informazioni per lavorare al meglio anche sull’asciutto. Sono contento di come sta lavorando la squadra con me, e secondo me si può fare un bel lavoro durante il campionato”.
LORENZO MAURI – Team Manager
“Abbiamo appena concluso l’ultimo dei quattro giorni di test pre-campionato. Qui a Portimao abbiamo fatto un ottimo lavoro, anche se sull’acqua, però le sensazioni che abbiamo avuto e la telemetria vista col pilota sono molto buone. C’è sicuramente da lavorare molto, siamo ancora all’inizio di stagione. Ora ci prepariamo per la trasferta extra-europea, dove avremo altri due giorni di test prima della prima gara di campionato in Australia. Ringrazio tutti i membri del team e tutte le aziende che in questi mesi hanno lavorato senza sosta per arrivare pronti ad affrontare questa avventura in sella alla Panigale V4 RS 26”

PRE-SEASON TEST: DIFFICULT CONDITIONS BUT POSITIVE INDICATIONS IN PORTIMAO FOR TEAM MOTOCORSA RACING
The final two of four overall pre-season test days concluded at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão for Motocorsa Racing, following the first test session held last week in Jerez de la Frontera. The team was on track with Alberto Surra, who made his debut in the World Superbike category.
Weather conditions significantly affected the working programme: rain, present on both days, greatly limited track time in dry conditions, while still providing the opportunity to collect important data in wet conditions.
The next on-track appointment will take place in Australia, where the team will continue its preparation ahead of the opening round of the championship, scheduled at Phillip Island from February 20 to 22, 2026.
ALBERTO SURRA – Rider
“I’m very happy with this test. It’s a shame about the rain, but we still managed to complete some good laps despite everything. I’m really looking forward to heading to Australia, hoping for better weather conditions so we can work more on dry track performance and gather more information. I’m pleased with how the team is working with me and I believe we can do a good job throughout the championship.”

“We have just completed the last of four pre-season test days. Here in Portimão we did a very good job, even in wet conditions, and the feedback we received along with the telemetry data from the rider is very positive. There is certainly still a lot of work to do, as we are only at the beginning of the season. Now we are preparing for the overseas trip, where we will have two more days of testing ahead of the first race of the championship in Australia. I would like to thank all the team members and all the companies that have worked tirelessly over the past months to be ready to face this new adventure aboard the Panigale V4 RS ’26.”
