DONINGTON SUPERPOLE RACE: P 11 RACE 2: 11
Weekend in netta progressione per il team Motoocrsa Racing, che lascia il circuito di Donington Park con due importanti undicesimi posti conquistati nella Superpole Race e in Gara 2. Ryan Vickers ha confermato il suo potenziale restando nel vivo della battaglia, con un passo gara competitivo e in linea con quello di piloti più esperti. Il lavoro del team ha permesso un ulteriore step in avanti.
Ryan Vickers:
“In tutte le gare siamo stati in battaglia, ed è questo l’aspetto più importante. Nella Superpole Race di oggi ho commesso qualche piccolo errore, ma il nostro passo gara è stato simile a quello di Petrucci, e questo è motivo di soddisfazione. Qui abbiamo fatto il miglioramento più grande dall’inizio della stagione. E’ bello poter finalmente mostrare tutto il potenziale: ci vuole solo un po’ di tempo. Non è facile, soprattutto considerando il livello altissimo del mondiale e la grande esperienza degli altri piloti, ma stiamo crescendo costantemente. Ogni volta cerco di migliorare il mio stile di guida, il team è contento e sta lavorando benissimo. Ringrazio tutti per questo fantastico weekend, e ora guardiamo già al prossimo round in Ungheria.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Chiudiamo il weekend con un’undicesima posizione e con un distacco praticamente dimezzato rispetto alle gare precedenti. Questo è il frutto di un grande lavoro da parte del team e del pilota, che continua a crescere. Siamo arrivati al giro di boa della stagione e abbiamo ancora tempo per migliorare e dimostrare che possiamo stare stabilmente tra i primi dieci, già a partire dalle prossime gare. Questo era l’obiettivo di Motocorsa sin dall’inizio dell’anno, e ci stiamo avvicinando sempre di più: ci crediamo in ogni singola sessione. A weekend in clear progression for the Motoocrsa Racing team, which left the Donington Park circuit with two important eleventh places in the Superpole Race and Race 2. Ryan Vickers confirmed his potential by staying in the thick of the battle, with a competitive race pace in line with that of more experienced riders. The work of the team allowed a further step forward.
Ryan Vickers:
“In all the races we have been in the battle, and that is the most important thing. In today’s Superpole Race I made a few small mistakes, but our race pace was similar to Petrucci’s, which is satisfying. Here we made the biggest improvement since the start of the season. It’s nice to finally be able to show the full potential: it just takes a little time. It’s not easy, especially considering the very high level of the world championship and the great experience of the other riders, but we are growing steadily. Every time I try to improve my riding style, the team is happy and working very well. I thank everyone for this fantastic weekend, and now we look forward to the next round in Hungary.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“We end the weekend in eleventh position and with a gap practically halved compared to the previous races. This is the result of great work by the team and the rider, who continues to grow. We have now reached the halfway point of the season and we still have time to improve and show that we can stay firmly in the top ten, starting from the next races. This has been Motocorsa’s goal since the beginning of the year, and we are getting closer and closer: we believe in it every single session.
