JEREZ RACE 1: P 15
Il secondo giorno del round finale WorldSBK a Jerez de la Frontera si è concluso in quindicesima posizione per il team Motocorsa Racing e Ryan Vickers, nonostante una qualifica complicata. Con il risultato di oggi, il team chiude Gara 1 in zona punti e guarda con fiducia alle due manche di domani, con l’obiettivo di concludere la stagione nel miglior modo possibile.
Ryan Vickers:
“Sono un po’ deluso dalle qualifiche. Stavo facendo un buon giro nella mia prima uscita, ma nel settore finale tutti hanno rallentato e mi sono distratto, così siamo rientrati ai box e ho perso l’occasione per segnare il mio miglior tempo. Con il secondo set di gomme non sono riuscito a trovare subito il ritmo e ho commesso un errore nel mio giro veloce. Sono partito diciannovesimo, ho fatto una buona partenza e il passo gara era buono. Ho faticato un po’ nei sorpassi, soprattutto perché ho sofferto molto con la gomma anteriore. Ora testa alle due gare di domani: speriamo di chiudere al meglio e portare a casa altri punti.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Abbiamo confermato la performance delle ultime quattro gare: siamo sempre andati a punti, anche se con uno o due alla volta. È stata una gara più conservativa che d’attacco, ma comunque tutto ha funzionato bene. Al momento la nostra posizione è questa e siamo comunque soddisfatti del nostro lavoro, ma per domani cercheremo di fare qualche aggiustamento per migliorare qualche posizione ancora.”

The second day of the WorldSBK final round at Jerez de la Frontera ended in fifteenth place for Motocorsa Racing team and Ryan Vickers, despite a complicated qualifying session. With today’s result, the team finishes Race 1 in the points and looks forward with confidence to tomorrow’s two races, with the aim of ending the season in the best possible way.
Ryan Vickers:
“I’m a bit disappointed with qualifying. I was doing a good lap on my first outing, but in the final sector everyone slowed down and I got distracted, so we went back to the pits and I lost the chance to set my best time. With the second set of tyres, I couldn’t find the pace straight away and made a mistake on my fast lap. I started nineteenth, got off to a good start and the race pace was good. I struggled a bit with overtaking, mainly because I suffered a lot with the front tyre. Now we’re focusing on tomorrow’s two races: we hope to finish on a high and bring home more points.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“We confirmed the performance of the last four races: we always scored points, even if only one or two at a time. It was a more conservative race than an attacking one, but everything worked well anyway. At the moment, this is our position and we are still satisfied with our work, but for tomorrow we will try to make some adjustments to improve further.”
