ESTORIL RACE 1: P 12
Giornata positiva per Ryan Vickers e il team Motocorsa Racing sul circuito di Estoril, che chiudono la prima gara del weekend in dodicesima posizione. Dopo un eccellente lavoro nelle FP3, Vickers ha conquistato l’undicesima posizione in qualifica con un tempo a soli 0,4 secondi dalla prima fila. In gara, Vickers è scattato molto bene alla prima partenza, portandosi subito in decima posizione, ma la corsa è stata interrotta con una bandiera rossa al primo giro. Alla seconda partenza, un contatto nelle prime curve ha complicato la situazione, costringendolo a eseguire una rimonta.
Ryan Vickers:
“È stata una giornata davvero positiva. In FP3 abbiamo fatto un grande passo avanti con la gomma da gara, e poi in qualifica abbiamo avuto una sessione fantastica. Sono riuscito a qualificarmi in P11, con un tempo molto veloce, solo a 0,4 secondi dalla prima fila, quindi sono estremamente felice di questo risultato. All’inizio della gara, alla prima partenza, sono scattato molto bene e stavo girando in decima posizione. Purtroppo la gara è stata interrotta con bandiera rossa al primo giro, proprio mentre ero in una buona posizione. Alla seconda partenza, invece, lo start non è stato altrettanto buono; sfortunatamente sono stato colpito lateralmente da un altro pilota alla curva 6, e questo mi ha mandato fuori pista. Sono dovuto rientrare, ripartendo completamente ultimo, quindi ho dovuto rimontare dal fondo. Sono riuscito ad arrivare fino al dodicesimo posto. Abbiamo lottato, ma siamo rimasti bloccati dietro ad alcuni piloti per un po’ troppo tempo. Quindi il nostro obiettivo è cercare di lavorare sulla moto per domani; se ci riusciremo, credo davvero che potremo fare due bellissime gare.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Concludiamo gara 1 in dodicesima posizione, purtroppo al primo giro nella prima curva della ripartenza c’è stato un contatto con Montella, quindi Ryan ha dovuto recuperare dall’ultima posizione. Il passo gara è buono e siamo positivi per le gare di domani.”

ESTORIL RACE 1: P 12
It was a positive day for Ryan Vickers and the Motocorsa Racing team at the Estoril circuit, finishing the first race of the weekend in twelfth position.
After an excellent performance in FP3, Vickers took eleventh place in qualifying with a time just 0.4 seconds off the front row.
In the race, Vickers got off to a great start, immediately moving up to tenth place, but the race was interrupted by a red flag on the first lap. At the second start, contact in the early corners complicated matters, forcing him to fight his way back up the field.
Ryan Vickers:
“It was a really positive day. In FP3 we made a big step forward with the race tyre, and then in qualifying we had a fantastic session. I managed to qualify in P11, with a very fast time, just 0.4 off the front row, so I’m extremely happy with this result.
At the start of the race, on the first start, I got off to a very good start and was running in tenth position. Unfortunately, the race was interrupted by a red flag on the first lap, just when I was in a good position.
On the second start, however, the start wasn’t as good; unfortunately, I was hit sideways by another rider at turn 6, which sent me off the track. I had to come back in, starting completely last, so I had to fight my way back from the bottom. I managed to get up to twelfth place. We fought hard, but we were stuck behind some riders for a little too long.
So our goal is to try to work on the bike for tomorrow; if we can do that, I really believe we can have two great races.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“We finished Race 1 in twelfth position. Unfortunately, on the first lap in the first corner of the restart, there was contact with Montella, so Ryan had to recover from last position. The race pace is good, and we are positive about tomorrow’s races.”
