First day of free practice at the Autodrom Most for Team Motocorsa Racing and Alberto Surra in Round 5 of the 2026 WorldSBK Championship. On a circuit the Italian rider had never raced at before, the opening day ended with 12th position in the combined standings, just 0.764 off the fastest time.
A positive result considering Surra’s first-ever approach to the Czech circuit, a particularly technical and demanding track, with the team focusing mainly on adapting the rider to the layout and building the right feeling ahead of Saturday, when the action will intensify with Superpole and Race 1.

ALBERTO SURRA – RIDER
“It was a good Friday. We had some difficulties during the opening session, but that was normal considering it’s my first time at Most. I’m happy with the work we’ve done: we are P12 and the gaps are very close, with the top twelve covered by just seven tenths. I’d like to thank the team for the work they are doing and tomorrow we’ll try to understand the track even better and continue improving session after session.”
LORENZO MAURI – TEAM MANAGER
“It was a very positive performance to start the weekend at Most, finishing seven tenths from the fastest time. There is still a lot of work to do, but we also have to consider that Alberto had never raced at this circuit before and we still have room for improvement both on the bike and in the riding. We are analysing the data and working especially on sectors three and four. We expect another step forward already from tomorrow’s third free practice session.”
