MOTOCORSA RACING: EXTRAORDINARY WEKEND IN ESTORIL! THREE PODIUMS IN THREE RACES FOR ALBERTO SURRA AND THE TEAM

An extraordinary Sunday rounded off an unforgettable weekend for Alberto Surra and Team Motocorsa Racing at the Estoril Circuit. After securing his first podium in a full-length race on Saturday, the Italian rider returned to the podium in both of Sunday’s races, finishing third in both the Superpole Race and Race 2. Three podiums in three races for Alberto and Motocorsa Racing, who enjoyed one of the most exciting weekends of their season.

The day began with another excellent performance in the Superpole Race, which Surra finished in P3. A result that confirmed the strong form shown since Friday’s Free Practice sessions and gave the team even more motivation heading into the final race of the weekend.

In the afternoon, Alberto delivered another fantastic performance in Race 2, fighting determinedly at the front of the field and securing another P3 and his third consecutive podium of the weekend, rounding off three days of exceptional performances at the Portuguese circuit.

Following their first podium together at Cremona, Alberto and Motocorsa Racing have continued to improve, achieving even greater results at Estoril. Three podiums in a single weekend represent a special milestone for the entire team, rewarding the hard work, commitment and determination shown throughout the season.

Surra leaves Portugal eighth in the WorldSBK Championship standings with 179 points. A particularly significant achievement for the young Italian rider in his rookie season in the category, as he now prepares for the final round of 2026. Team Motocorsa Racing and Alberto Surra will be back on track next week in Jerez, Spain, for the final round of the WorldSBK Championship. Following such a successful weekend, the team heads into the season finale full of enthusiasm, motivation and determination to finish their first season together in the best possible way.

ALBERTO SURRA – PILOTA

“I’m really happy for the whole team. It’s been the perfect weekend! Now we’re heading to Jerez, which will be a very challenging round, with everyone determined to do well. But we have good pace and plenty of confidence. We’re a very close-knit team, and I’m sure it will be another fantastic weekend!”

LORENZO MAURI – TEAM MANAGER

“It has been a fantastic weekend at Estoril. Three podiums, three third-place finishes in a single weekend for an independent team like ours: it’s truly incredible! The work done by the team, Alberto and the entire staff has been outstanding. Everyone has put in an enormous amount of effort, and we’re absolutely delighted with this season. We still have one round to go, and we’ll give it everything we’ve got at Jerez as well. We know it’s not one of Alberto’s favourite circuits, but we’ll do everything we can to have another great weekend. A heartfelt thank you to everyone!”
