MOTOCORSA RACING: TWO DAYS OF TESTS AT THE MISANO WORLD CIRCUIT AHEAD OF ROUND 6 IN ARAGON

Two important days of testing at the Misano World Circuit for Team Motocorsa Racing and Alberto Surra, who were back on track on May 20th and 21st to continue the growth path shown in the latest rounds of the 2026 WorldSBK Championship.

Following the extremely positive signs shown during the Most weekend, the team used the Misano test to focus on the development of the Ducati Panigale V4 RS and on helping the Italian rider further adapt to the bike, completing many laps and collecting important data ahead of the next rounds of the season. Stable weather conditions finally allowed the team to work consistently throughout both days, ending the test with positive feelings and a best lap time of 1’32.399.

During the second day, Surra suffered a crash without consequences for the rider, who is fine, although the incident caused significant damage to the bike. The team is already working to have the Panigale V4 RS ready for the next WorldSBK round at Aragón.

ALBERTO SURRA – RIDER

“I’m happy with these tests. We tried different settings and several solutions, and on the second day we managed to set a really good lap time. The team and I worked very hard, completing many laps and gathering a lot of information. I can’t wait for Aragón to try and put all these steps forward into practice.”

LORENZO MAURI – TEAM MANAGER

“During these two days of testing at Misano we tried many solutions that had been on standby since the start of the season, because this was the first test where we finally had completely favourable weather conditions, with two full days of sunshine. We worked quite well, setting our best lap time at 1’32.399, and the rider’s feeling was positive. We will continue working in this direction ahead of the next race weekend at Aragón and especially in preparation for the Misano round. During today’s session, shortly before the break, there was a crash: the rider is unharmed and feeling well, but the bike suffered significant damage. We will rebuild our Panigale in time for next week’s race.”
