Team Motocorsa Racing announces that Alberto Surra will not take part in the remaining sessions of Round 8 of the 2026 FIM World Superbike Championship at Donington Park.
Following a diagnosis of mild bursitis in his right shoulder, and after medical evaluations carried out at the circuit’s Medical Centre, the rider and the team manager Lorenzo Mauri mutually agreed to withdraw from the remainder of the race weekend in order to protect his condition and avoid any unnecessary risks.
Alberto will now focus on his recovery during the upcoming summer break, working closely with the medical staff to fully resolve the issue and return to the track in the best possible condition for the next round of the Championship.
