Sunday of Round 3 of the 2026 WorldSBK Championship at TT Circuit Assen for Team Motocorsa Racing and Alberto Surra started with a clear step forward in the Superpole Race, finished in 12th position after a race fought until the final lap, with a gap of +14.379 from the winner.
Encouraging signs especially in the first part of the day, with the Italian rider involved in several battles and overtakes, confirming the progress shown throughout the weekend. In the afternoon, however, Race 2 proved more challenging, with Surra finishing in 17th position and unable to score points, highlighting ongoing difficulties in race distance management and adapting to a new riding style.

ALBERTO SURRA – RIDER
“The second race was quite complicated. I need to adapt my riding style as soon as possible: we have a lot of potential in the opening laps, but I’m still not able to manage the front tyre properly towards the end of the race. The Superpole Race this morning went well and the warm-up also felt positive, but in the longer race I need to improve from the second half onwards to avoid compromising the tyre. I want to thank the team for the great support — see you in Hungary.”
LORENZO MAURI – TEAM MANAGER
“After a strong performance this morning in the Superpole Race, finishing 12th, we struggled a lot in Race 2 this afternoon. We need to work on the rider’s style to avoid such rapid tyre wear. It will take time, but it’s essential to focus on this area.”
