A Sunday to remember at the Cremona Circuit for Alberto Surra and Team Motocorsa Racing, who secured their first WorldSBK podium together. Alberto finished the Superpole Race in third position, giving the team a special result at their home round, in front of the Italian crowd.
The emotions continued in the afternoon with Race 2. Surra was once again among the frontrunners, delivering a great race and taking the chequered flag in fourth position. A P4 that completed an extraordinary Sunday for Alberto and the entire Team Motocorsa Racing.
The podium and fourth-place finish crowned a weekend in which the team showed great competitiveness from the opening sessions. Saturday’s Race 1 crash did not stop Alberto and the team, who returned to the track on Sunday and turned the speed shown throughout the round into two results that made their home weekend even more special.
And achieving it in Cremona makes it mean even more. Sharing their first podium together with the many sponsors, partners, friends and fans at the circuit made this result even more significant for the entire Team Motocorsa Racing.
With two rounds remaining in the season, Surra leaves Cremona eighth in the WorldSBK Championship standings and as the leading rookie. Following such a special weekend, Alberto and the team head into the final two rounds with even more motivation and the determination to keep fighting until the very last race.

ALBERTO SURRA – RIDER
“It was a super emotional and intense weekend, and I’m really happy. We’ve unlocked a new memory: my first Superbike podium, right here at our home round. I can’t wait to experience more races like this. I want to thank the whole team and everyone who came to see me and support me throughout the weekend. Forza Italia, and see you in Estoril!”
LORENZO MAURI – TEAM MANAGER
“It has been an incredible weekend. We secured fourth place in Race 2 and our first podium together in this morning’s Superpole Race. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Alberto was fantastic, the whole team was fantastic, and the bike worked perfectly. I want to thank everyone. In the final two rounds, we will continue to work as hard as we have done so far. We are eighth in the Championship, five points behind the factory Kawasaki, and we will fight for it until the very last race. We are also the leading rookie, and we will fight to hold onto that until the final round.”
