Two days of work in Australia ahead of the first round of the 2026 World Superbike Championship
Motocorsa Racing has completed the final pre-season testing at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, held on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th February. This marked the last step of preparation before the opening round of the 2026 World Superbike Championship scheduled at the same venue in the weekend, from 20th to 22nd February.
At the Australian circuit, the team was on track with rookie Alberto Surra to finalise the work n the new Ducati Panigale V4 R 2026 and gather the final indications ahead of the first race weekend of the season.

“I ‘m very happy with the feeling I found during these two days of testing, which went really well. We worked step by step with the team and each of them is doing a fantastic job. Being 0.8 seconds from the second fastest time was certainly a great result for me. In the final round we preferred not to focus on the time attack, but I am convinced there would still have been room for improvement. I’m very positive for this weekend: it will be my very first round as a rider in the World Superbike Championship and still one of the very first times on the new bike. But I am sure we can do well!”

“Today we completed the two days of pre-championship tests at Phillip Island and we are particularly satisfied with the progress made on track in just two days. This morning, after the first two hours, we were one second from the reference time, while in the afternoon we worked a lot on race pace simulation and tyre choice, without going for a time attck in the final 15 minutes of the session.
The bike is working well and both team and rider are feeling very motivated. I would like to thank everyone who worked hard during the winter to allow Motocorsa Racing to arrive in Australia with all the components of the new bike. All eyes are on Friday’s FP1, which will be the first official outing in a race weekend for both the new V4 R 2026 and our young rookie Alberto Surra.“
