MAGNY-COURS SUPERPOLE RACE: RT RACE 2: RT
Il weekend di Magny-Cours si è rivelato particolarmente complesso per Motocorsa Racing, che ha dovuto fare i conti con difficoltà tecniche e regolamentari concludendo la domenica con due ritiri. Nella Superpole Race, Vickers ha optato di montare una gomma più morbida, ma l’eccessivo cosumo dello pneumatico lo ha costretto a fermarsi al sesto giro. In Gara 2, invece, a causa di una perdita di potenza del motore: dall’analisi dei dati è emerso un surriscaldamento legato alle nuove restrizioni sul consumo di carburante introdotte dal regolamento Superbike. Una limitazione che, di fatto, ha compromesso la competitività della moto.
Ryan Vickers:
“È stato un weekend molto difficile. Non siamo riusciti a fare i progressi che volevamo e purtroppo ci siamo trovati ad affrontare problemi di set up che non avevamo più da tempo. Nella Superpole Race mi sono dovuto ritirare per mancanza di grip con la gomma morbida, mentre in Gara 2 la moto ha iniziato a perdere prestazione giro dopo giro, fino a costringermi allo stop.Sono convinto che la causa sia legata alle nuove restrizioni sul carburante, visto che anche altre Ducati non hanno terminato la corsa. Nonostante le difficoltà, il team ha lavorato molto bene per tutto il fine settimana e ora guardiamo avanti, pronti a prepararci al meglio per il prossimo round ad Aragón.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Purtroppo chiudiamo Magny-Cours con grande rammarico. Nella Superpole Race Ryan ha scelto di utilizzare una gomma morbida, ma l’eccessivo consumo non gli ha permesso di arrivare fino in fondo. In Gara 2, invece, il surriscaldamento del motore e la perdita di potenza è stato una diretta conseguenza delle nuove restrizioni sul carburante, una regola che ci penalizza molto. Siamo delusi perché questo limite condiziona fortemente la prestazione e non rispecchia il vero potenziale della moto e del pilota. Continueremo a lavorare per trovare soluzioni tecniche. In ogni caso, il nostro impegno non manca e siamo già concentrati sul prossimo appuntamento ad Aragón.””
DIFFICULT WEEKEND AT MAGNY-COURS: DOUBLE RETIREMENT FOR MOTOCORSA RACING AND RYAN VICKERS
MAGNY-COURS SUPERPOLE RACE: RT RACE 2: RT
The Magny-Cours weekend proved particularly challenging for Motocorsa Racing, which had to contend with technical and regulatory difficulties, ending Sunday with two retirements.
In the Superpole Race, Vickers opted to fit a softer tyre, but excessive tyre wear forced him to retire on lap six.
In Race 2, on the other hand, it was due to a loss of engine power: analysis of the data revealed overheating linked to the new fuel consumption restrictions introduced by the Superbike regulations. This limitation effectively compromised the competitiveness of the bike.
Ryan Vickers:
“It was a very difficult weekend. We weren’t able to make the progress we wanted, and unfortunately we found ourselves facing set-up problems that we hadn’t had in a long time.
In the Superpole Race, I had to retire due to a lack of grip with the soft tyre, while in Race 2, the bike started to lose performance lap after lap, until I was forced to stop.
I am convinced that the cause is linked to the new fuel restrictions, as other Ducatis also failed to finish the race. Despite the difficulties, the team worked very well throughout the weekend and now we are looking ahead, ready to prepare ourselves as best we can for the next round in Aragón.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Unfortunately, we leave Magny-Cours with great regret. In the Superpole Race, Ryan chose to use a soft tyre, but excessive wear prevented him from finishing the race. In Race 2, on the other hand, engine overheating and power loss were a direct consequence of the new fuel restrictions, a rule that penalises us greatly.
We are disappointed because this limit greatly affects performance and does not reflect the true potential of the bike and the rider. We will continue to work to find technical solutions. In any case, we are fully committed and are already focused on the next round in Aragón.”
