MAGNY-COURS FP1 P 21 – FP2 P 18
Giornata di apprendistato ma con segnali incoraggianti per Ryan Vickers, impegnato nel suo primo weekend di gara sul tracciato francese di Magny-Cours, dove ha concluso le FP1 in ventunesima e le FP2 in diciottesima posizione.
Il pilota britannico è tornato in sella dopo una pausa di sei settimane, affrontando per la prima volta questa pista impegnativa e tecnica. Nonostante la mancanza di riferimenti, Vickers ha chiuso le prove libere con un distacco contenuto di un secondo e sei dalla vetta, dimostrando un buon adattamento e costanza. Il team guarda con fiducia alle prossime sessioni, puntando a consolidare i progressi e a lottare per un risultato di rilievo già nel primo round del weekend.
Ryan Vickers:
“Era la mia prima volta qui a Magny-Cours e sono soddisfatto del lavoro svolto. Non conoscevo il tracciato, ma siamo riusciti a trovare un buon passo fin da subito. Al momento mi concentro sul mio progresso personale e credo che il distacco dalla prima posizione sia un risultato positivo, considerando le circostanze. Ora lavoreremo su piccoli aggiustamenti per migliorare in vista delle qualifiche e della gara di domani.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Siamo molto contenti della prestazione di Ryan. Chiudere le prove libere a un secondo e sei dal leader, su una pista mai vista prima, è davvero un ottimo risultato. Abbiamo fiducia in un ulteriore passo avanti già da domani in FP3, dove metteremo in pratica le modifiche analizzate questa sera per arrivare preparati a qualifiche e gara.”

FA day of learning but with encouraging signs for Ryan Vickers, who was busy with his first race weekend at the French Magny-Cours circuit, where he finished FP1 in twenty-first and FP2 in eighteenth position.
The British rider returned to the saddle after a six-week break, tackling this demanding and technical track for the first time. Despite the lack of references, Vickers finished free practice just one second and six tenths off the top, demonstrating good adaptation and consistency. The team is looking forward to the next sessions with confidence, aiming to consolidate its progress and fight for a strong result in the first round of the weekend.
Ryan Vickers:
“It was my first time here at Magny-Cours and I am pleased with the work we did. I didn’t know the track, but we managed to find a good pace right from the start. At the moment, I am focusing on my personal progress and I think the gap to the front is a positive result, considering the circumstances. Now we will work on small adjustments to improve for tomorrow’s qualifying and race”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“We are very happy with Ryan’s performance. Finishing free practice just one second and six tenths off the leader, on a track he had never seen before, is a really good result. We are confident of taking another step forward tomorrow in FP3, where we will put into practice the changes we analysed this evening to be ready for qualifying and the race.”
